I’m excited to be a part of this year’s NI Writers Conference, held at the Courtenay campus of North Island College on January 27th! I’m part of a panel that will be discussing creative non-fiction*, and I look forward to sharing some researching tips, talking about adventures in museums, and reading from my historical mystery novels.
For more information and to register, visit the CV Writers Society website. I look forward to seeing you there, and we can chat history, mystery, and murder (with perhaps some werewolves thrown into the mix).
*It should be said that the Bucket of Blood series and the bloody gruesome adventures of Lizzie Saunders are not non-fiction. If it was all true, that would be terrible! Death, dismemberment, fine gentlemen getting their noses chewed off… yikes! From time to time, I do have people ask how much of the story is true. To be clear, the historical settings are true, but the characters are fictional, and the awful things they do to each other are mostly fictional.
Yes, I said ‘mostly’.
